North American Black Walnut

Sourced directly from managed forests in the Pacific Northwest and Appalachian regions. Each batch arrives with:

● FSC® chain-of-custody certificate — verified sustainable forestry
● Moisture content report — kiln-dried to 6–8% for stability
● Grade classification — only select-grade heartwood used
● Origin traceability — each lot traced to its source forest

New Zealand Top-Grain Leather

Our leather comes from natural, pasture-raised cattle in New Zealand — not recycled or bonded leather.

● Top-grain hide — the strongest, most durable layer
● Pasture-raised — natural grain patterns, no blemishes from confinement
● Not bonded/recycled — real leather, not synthetic reconstituted material
● Natural finish — develops a beautiful patina over time

Craftsmanship

360° Hand-Polished.
6 Hours Per Piece.

Every surface — top, bottom, inside, outside, every edge and corner — is hand-sanded through multiple grit levels. A single piece takes an artisan 6 hours of continuous polishing to achieve the smooth, warm finish that defines Kumo furniture.

Zero Formaldehyde. Zero Odour.

We use eco-friendly wood wax oil instead of chemical lacquer or polyurethane. The result:

● Zero formaldehyde — safe for children and sensitive individuals
● Zero odour — no chemical smell, even when new
● Natural matte finish — lets the wood grain breathe and shine
● Renewable — can be re-oiled at home to refresh the surface
● Zero-emission production — our factory is designed for zero pollution
